An overview of reverse flotation process for coal

During the second stage of flotation the froth of the first stage was conditioned with dextrin (Aero Depressant 633) to depress the coal and subsequently potassium amyl xanthate was used as collector to float pyrite. This method demonstrated its potential in pyrite rejection by as much as 80% along with ash rejection from 31.8% to 7.8%.
